Time Traveler Is A Giant Leap For Silver Dollar City! (Revised March 2019)

Silver Dollar City has always been about traveling back in time.  With Time Traveler, SDC took a giant leap into the future.

This one-of-a-kind roller coaster is more than a ride - it is an experience! Time Traveler opened in 2018 to rave reviews by coaster enthusiast from around the world.

I (Danny Branson) was there the day Time Traveler opened to the public.  When the announcement was being made, it really felt like there was electricity in the air.  We knew this was going to be special!

It was fun to hear from the different department heads from Germany and here in Branson explain the processes that led to what we now have.

My favorite memory from the day was being able to speak with both Jack and Pete Herschend and thank them for all of the memories that they had given me, my friends and family.

They were both very humble and kind.  I am grateful for the opportunity to hear a few stories from them directly.  It was quite a day!

As far as Time Traveler goes, here's what you need to know:

It's FAST!
Time Traveler will reach a speed of 50.3 miles per hour

It's STEEP
The ride will have a 10-story, 90-degree vertical
drop…straight down.  They say, "It is custom-
engineered to have an immediate
out-of-the-station, gravity-driven drop
down an Ozarks’ mountainside!"
What that means is you will temporarily be saying goodbye to gravity!

It's TALL
Custom-designed for the Ozark Mountains
mountainous, it will reach 100 feet at its tallest point.

It SPINS
Time Traveler will have 360° Spinning Vehicles with adjustable magnetic spin control with a total of 3 trains carrying 16 passengers each.
That's 2 per row; 2 rows per vehicle; 4 per train.

Time Traveler is SPECIAL
It is not just the details of this ride that make it special.  It is the combination of so many components.
First & Only with Three Inversions
A Dive Loop, a Vertical Loop and a
Zero-G Roll

First & Only with a Vertical Loop
A 95-foot tall loop

First & Only Double Launch – 0 to 47 mph
in 3 seconds; 30 to 45 mph in 3.5 seconds.

At an investment of $26 million, this is Silver Dollar City’s Biggest Attraction EVER. We strive daily to continue that tradition through our rides, our festivals, our crafts and our food. That pursuit continues in 2018 with Time Traveler - a Revolutionary Coaster Ahead of Our Time.”

Time Traveler is opened in the Spring of 2018.
