Branson's Tour Guide

B.A.T. Boys (Brake, Auto & Tire Boys) By D.E.

Car trouble while on vacation can be nearly as high on the annoyance scale as an unplanned trip to the dentist.  In Branson, there is one shop that stands alone as far as I'm concerned.  B.A.T. Boys (Brake, Auto & Tire Boys) owners Buzz and Shirley

McQueen have been helping to keep Branson visitors on the road for more than 20 years.

They are located next to Anytime Fitness, behind Splash Car Wash and across from the Red Roof on Gretna (Map).  Their large building houses more hydraulic lifts than anyone we know of in Branson.  This along with their seasoned crew of professional mechanics, enable them to work on several jobs simultaneously.

Buzz, his wife Shirley and their staff (including Spokesdog Carmichael, who has his own Facebook page), routinely help travelers and residents alike. "Awesome people! Friendly, prompt attention, great service and value. Great mechanics..." said one customer from Branson.

Although they may not want it publicized, this writer has personally heard countless stories about Buzz helping people in ways that would be unheard of at most shops - working after hours, giving free advice over the phone and things I dare not mention that would further show their charitable nature.

When I asked Buzz about this he said, "It's not only about making money.  Although we have to make money (this is a business), we want to help people and do the right thing."  Co-owner Shirley adds, "We believe that if you treat people right, in a Christian manner, they'll be back and probably tell their friends.  ...but even if they don't, we will know that we did things the right way."

Whether keeping the vehicles for Branson's IMAX Entertainment Complex safe on the road or fixing a flat tire for a first time customer, everyone is treated with care and respect.

After a customer (William S.) from Lampe, MO took his Toyota 4 Runner to B.A.T. Boys he said, "I was late for my scheduled appointment and they accommodated me with no hassle. Explained a needed repair with clarity and no pressure. I like their style."

B.A.T. Boys provides services ranging from Missouri State Inspections and small repairs to entire engine and transmission overhauls.  No job seems too big or too small for this team of professionals.

Shirley with Terry Wayne Sanders
Terry Wayne Sanders (Branson entertainer and BTG Spokesman), has told many people of his experiences with BAT Boys over the years.  According to Mr. Sanders, on one occasion Buzz and his crew may have literally "saved his son's life." (watch video here)

The Haygood and McQueen
families are longtime friends.
During my own time visiting BAT Boys I have spotted many familiar faces and vehicles from around town.  This includes members of the Haygood family, the Hughes family and even the cool "whale car" from the Sight & Sound Theater to name only a few.  These folks can take their vehicles anywhere but they choose BAT Boys time and time again.

If you are wondering if you should believe all of this gushing (it is the internet after all), simply visit the B.A.T. Boys Testimonial Page on their website and you will see what their many customers have to say.

All statements in the above article are true to the best of our knowledge. The B.A.T. Boys website, marketing and Branson's Tour Guide are operated by Daniel Eslinger ULTRAMEDIA.
